Haydn's spritely Symphony No 39 is delicate and determined, light but vigorous. The Miraculous Mandarin, meanwhile, defies death in one of Bartók’s most thrilling scores.
The supremely versatile Barbara Hannigan both sings and conducts the LSO in these glorious pieces.
